Committee Biographies

Andrew Fillip-Gautier - Chief Event Organiser (CEO) Halloween on the Green


Andrew Fillip-Gautier has extensive experience and expertise within the public transport industry, including roles as a Planning Assistant, Survey Designer, Patronage Analyst and Survey Logistics Manager. This experience has provided him with essential skills in project management and staff engagement, which have supported his mobilisation of the local business community through the creation of the Villages of Mount Dandenong (Business) Association.

Andrew is also heavily engaged with his local community as a volunteer, and has supported disadvantaged students through numerous projects and donations, including establishment of a free food bank, and the ongoing collection and donation of food, clothes and essential school infrastructure, such as computers and furniture.

Mark Bean - President


Mark brings strong artistic skills to the board of the Philanthropic Collective, including over 30 years’ experience as a freelance finished artist, trainer and graphic designer. He bring additional technological skills in iOS Database design and construction and was previously a teacher at Aikido at Waverley Aikido School, including children’s classes.

Ever reliable, Mark may often be found quietly volunteering in his local community, including assisting with Emerald Community House functions and Cockatoo clean-up and planting days. He has volunteered for numerous groups in the past, such as a social housing group in Box Hill and volunteered design and finished art for various non-profit organisations.

Fabian Fillip-Gautier - Treasurer/Financial Director


Fabian has extensive financial and corporate experience, including 11 years as the CEO of Trading Numbers Pty Ltd, which was contracted by the Victorian Government to audit the public transport network and all fixed assets within the state, and as the Executive Director of The Oracle, trading in Sassafras.

He also has a broad record of service to community, including providing pastoral care as a Catholic Chaplain Assistant at the Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and as a mentor within the ‘Big Brother, Big Sister’ programs.

Rachel Vautier - Administration Assistant


Rachel has extensive administrative experience, having previously filled an administrative role at the State Revenue Office, operated as a team leader with Conservation Volunteers Australia and also as the Victorian co-ordinator for Clean Up Australia Day. She has managed The Space Dance and Arts Centre and is currently responsible for recruitment within the studio.

Rachel has also filled numerous volunteer roles within the community, including active parent helper at community schools and fundraising president at Belgrave Kindergarten for 4 years.

Belinda Young - Communications Director


Belinda has had a long career in event management in both the UK (British Liberal Democrat Party Conferences and National Television Awards among others) and in Australia (Ecocity World Summit 2017). Hailing originally from Townsville, NQ, Belinda’s experience in communication extends beyond events to other volunteer communication roles with Beyond Zero Emissions and local online community groups. Belinda is currently in the throws of completing her PhD on effective communication and negotiation of bushfire prevention strategies within the community.

Lauren Croiset - Sponsorship


Lauren has journeyed through an epic career of Coordination, Engagement & Strategy. Her experience has been primarily bred through various Corporate gigs in the Telecommunications & IT industries. As a result of her career walk, Lauren brings to the table refined Project Management skills, excellent Relationship Building skills and a keen eye for detail, clarity and simplicity.

Originally from Sydney, Lauren and her family made the move to the Hills a few years ago for a more community-driven lifestyle. And have never looked back since! Lauren is now seeking a new purpose and finding fulfillment being part of the Philanthropic Collective, where she hopes to help make a positive impact by combining her work experience with her zest and zeal for community.

Roxy Horn - Stall Holder and Food Vendor Director


Roxanne brings to the committee an extensive customer service background spanning 12 years. Roxanne spent a number of years running her own small business; making handmade children’s clothes. This experience has allowed Roxanne to develop close relationship with local makers, which has come in extremely handy in her role as Market Stall Coordinator. Now a full time mum, Roxanne simultaneously runs her husbands painting and decorating business. Having moved to the Dandenong Ranges in 2016, Roxanne, along with her husband, two young boys, two crazy dogs and cat, Roxanne looks forward to contributing to the local community that she has become so very fond of.
